Oze 2-Day Trekking Model Itinerary
This is a model plan for a 2-day trekking trip to Oze. The itinerary takes you from Oku-Tadami through the Oe Marshland to stay overnight at Lake Ozenuma, and then return to Oku-Tadami on the second day.
9:00 - 9:25 Depart for Oze by sightseeing boat
It's a 40-minute boat trip to Ozeguchi. Feel the pleasant breeze and enjoy a leisurely time taking in the scenery of the mountains and lake.
10:05 Arrive at Ozeguchi → 10:10 Board the Aizu Bus for Numayama Pass
After getting off the boat at Ozeguchi Pier, climb the stairs to board the Aizu Bus.
11:15 Arrive at Numayama Pass - Start trekking
You have arrived at Numayama Pass. Please note that there are no toilets from here until Ozenuma. The climb over the pass takes about 20 minutes and is slightly uphill. Take your time.
12:10 Oe Marshland
Enjoy the vast marshlands of Oze stretching out before you. They are beautiful in every season: skunk cabbage in spring, Nikko daylilies in summer, and autumn-colored grasses in fall.
13:00 Ozenuma Visitor Center, Lodging facilities
When you see Lake Ozenuma, you have reached your lodging destination. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon, perhaps exploring around the lake.
Day 2
You can also explore the marshes around Ozenuma and Miike. You are free to return to Oku-Tadami in the morning or to take your time exploring Ozenuma before returning in the afternoon.
